The Queer Gaze

“The queer Gaze”, is an identity I established myself, in the pursuit of celebrating Queer Icons. For this project I screen printed a series of postcards, featuring my illustrations of different queer icons in a variety of colours.

In addition to the prints I also produced a riso-print zine, to give insight into the individuals featured, highlighting what makes them an icon. I designed and created a box to contain these elements as a single issue.

Taking the project further: I looked at expanding the project by making it a wearable identity.

Theses examples I produced take quotes from the icons featured in the zine (in this case Freddie Mercury) and producing multiple wearable prints e.g on t-shirt and tote bags.

​

I also produced prints on using my logo design.
